Are you going to have a variety of book genres, or will it mostly be fantasy and romance?

Fantasy and romance will always have our hearts—and they’ll definitely have a big presence on our shelves.

But The Guilty Librarian is for every kind of reader.

You’ll find a thoughtfully curated selection of fantasy, romance, thrillers, horror, mystery, contemporary fiction, literary fiction, historical fiction, children’s books, Christian books, self-help, popular nonfiction, and comic books/manga.

As a small independent bookstore, we’re starting with a carefully curated inventory, so some sections may be smaller at first. Every title on our shelves has been chosen with intention.

As we grow, our shelves will grow too. We hope to continue expanding our selection, adding more titles, and creating a place where every reader can find something they’ll love.

We’re building this bookstore one chapter at a time, and we’re so grateful you’re choosing to grow with us. We can’t wait to keep adding more stories for every kind of reader.

Will you sell eBooks?

We sure hope so!

One of our biggest goals is to eventually offer both eBooks and an online bookstore so you can shop with The Guilty Librarian whether you’re visiting us in person or reading from home.

As a brand-new independent bookstore, we’re learning something new every single day. There are a lot of moving pieces behind offering eBooks and online sales, so while they won’t be available right away, they’re absolutely part of the vision as we grow.

For now, we’re focused on opening our doors, filling our shelves with books we love, and creating a bookstore experience you’ll want to come back to again and again.

One chapter at a time. We are unable to accept returns on certain items. These will be carefully marked before purchase.

Do you sell used books?

It’s one of the questions we get asked the most!

The answer is no—at least not right now. The Guilty Librarian is a new bookstore, and when we open our shelves will be filled with brand-new books.

So… why "The Guilty Librarian"?

Because we couldn’t resist the play on words. We loved the idea of a librarian who enables your ever-growing TBR, whispers “just one more chapter,” and never judges the stack of books you’re carrying to the checkout.

It’s all about the feeling books give us—not that we’re an actual library.

Who knows what the future holds, but for opening day, you can expect shelves full of new stories waiting to be discovered.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is calculated based on your location and the items in your order. You will always know the shipping price before you purchase.
